Man Tries to Fake Death

After finding his crashed plane empty, authorities claim that Marcus Schrenker, a financial manager, attempted to fake his own death. They believe that Mr. Schrenker set the plane on autopilot before jumping out of the plane and safely parachuting to the ground. Why would someone do this? It is believed that Schrenker tried to fake his death because he had defrauded investors of his firms. Tom Britt, a friend of Schrenker's, doesn't believe the crash was intentional. According to Britt, he received an email from his friend explaining that his plane's windshield had caved and had injured him; that's when he decided to put the plane on autopilot and parachute out. It is suspected that Schrenker still remains missing because he is avoiding the authorities and the charges brought forth against him.
