The rumors have become reality. After this January, Apple will no longer be participating in the Macworld Expo. According to the article, Apple is discontinuing its participation in the event because they feel it is no longer necessary. So how will Apple release its new products? There are two forms of advertising Apple relies on: their slick commercials and the Stevenote. The Stevenote, for those who do not know, is a Keynote (Apple's version of Powerpoint) presentation delivered by Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs. Stevenotes are well known by the tech community for releasing new products out in a way that keeps viewers at the edge of their seats. However, at Apple's final Macworld event, the presentation will not be given by Jobs, rather his associate Phil Schiller. So what direction in the compnay going in? Many expect Apple to create their own event in the future; an event in which they can be in control and not have to worry about scheduling issues.
