Outside Reading Blog Post #2

I recently read an article about deer hunting. According to the article I read, an increasing number of hunters are 'baiting' their game. This means that hunters are luring the deer to their hunting posts and then killing them. Hunters who practiced in this form of hunting have been severely punished. The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has confiscated guns, and has made lawbreakers pay hundreds of dollars in fines. The DNR has dubbed baiting as unethical; they believe that it violates the hunters' code of fair chase and they consider the act cheating. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, the DNR has reported an increasing number of hunters who violate this rule. Currently, they are looking into sharpening the law and increasing fines. They hope that this practice will end in the near future.
